Today’s Grace

Today’s Grace

My husband and I have always wanted to start a clothing line. We’re very picky with our clothes. We love Jesus, but aren’t really bright colors kind of people. So, we created Today’s Grace to share our faith in a way that also matches our style. We created a brand we have always wanted to see! I have also always enjoyed sharing my life, things God is teaching me, and decided to combine the two. This side of the site is my blog. I hope to share more with you in hopes that you know who you’re supporting and in hopes that it will encourage you as well!

What does that mean? That seems like a good place to start. Today’s Grace, was put on my heart honestly years ago. I’ve always wanted to have some sort of platform. I have always wanted to share the many, many thoughts rushing around in my head at all times. So many people are on the social media train and having a platform as an influencer or something like that. That isn’t me! I like my privacy and I’ve never felt a draw to share in a casual way like that as far as my day to day life goes. I truly have always loved writing my thoughts down and curating a more formal thought before sharing something. It’s not to say it’s bad to share more day to day real time life things on social media. I definitely consume it, I just don’t find it appealing. Especially being a mom, the desire to keep my life private for my child is important, but hard for many in that industry. I’m that girl that removed friends and followers to just a small group on my personal page just to ensure privacy.

With all of that being said, I decided to finally take that leap and start sharing. The meaning behind Today’s Grace is pretty straightforward, but also has a multitude of meanings. It’s a play on multiple meanings throughout scripture. I’ve added them below for reference, but it’s just the sentiment of needing a daily dose of grace. We need grace from others, grace from ourselves, but always from God. His grace is needed and it’s just a reminder that today is a new day, every day. I pray that this just serves as a reminder to seek His grace, give yourself grace, give grace to others, and pray that others give you grace. This life is rough sometimes and we need God’s grace. It’s also a play on “Give us this day (today) our daily bread.” Matthew‬ ‭6‬:‭11‬. It’s something we have to return to daily and just seek what we need that day. That moment. Grace is also another word for prayer.

So, to hopefully land this plane, some days you may see me sharing something here to encourage you and offering you some kind of form of God’s grace in that. Other days, I may share my prayer, my grace. Other days I may share how God is working in my life and the grace He shows me in that. The topics may stray at times, but the main focus is how I find grace in my life. We may laugh, probably will cry, and hopefully will end each day feeling a bit more grace than we started with.

That’s all,

DS

“God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it.”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭2‬:‭8‬-‭9‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭12‬:‭9‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭4‬:‭16‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“Sin is no longer your master, for you no longer live under the requirements of the law. Instead, you live under the freedom of God’s grace.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭6‬:‭14‬ ‭NLT‬‬
